I really like these markers and originally thought that maybe they were overpriced. The saving grace was that it is Prismacolor so I was willing to shell out a few more bucks for the markers because the color pencils are excellent. I am glad that I did. The markers are as you would expect from the quality of Prisma. Very vibrant and the ink dries really fast.Critiques:- One of my only criticisms is the fact that it's super hard to get the tops off. I actually tried the first day I got them, couldn't get the top off and so I just didn't use them. After a while I figured out a small trick to make it easier but I can see why some of the reviewers are a bit annoyed. It is quite the battle.- The other critique I have is the fact that they bleed through something serious. I am using these markers on ColorIt - Colorful Flowers: Adult Coloring Book with Relaxing Zentangle Flowers and Patterns and it bleeds right through the page and even a little on the next page if nothing is under it. What is the big deal? The pages on this coloring book is crazy thick stock. I have Tombow markers which are typically known to bleed through and they don't, for comparison.Otherwise I think they're worth it. If using for regular adult coloring books please keep the bleed in mind. If the page is double sided you need to pick an image and forfeit the other and if not then place a ton of pieces of paper under the page you're working on to save the image behind. I do recommend these markers but please keep in mind the cons, they are not a deal breaker for me but could be for others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!

Though I'm only a hobbyist, not a professional artist, I am in love with these markers and all others have been spoiled for me! Such a smooth glide, and such rich colors. Truly a joy to use. My only wish is that I could afford the entire color spectrum! This is a great starter set, and my only complaint is that I quickly grew to want even more color variations to choose from, which is actually a compliment to the quality of these fine markers. Do note that they are not water based and will soak through, which actually opens up even more interesting possibilities. I use these with a coloring book designed for markers, so the pictures are not printed double-sided to account for the bleed-through (I still used a thin piece of cardboard inserted in the book behind the page I'm coloring to be extra careful). The image it makes on the opposite side is just as interesting as the front side and added a new dimension to my color choices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the color saturation and feel of the brush tip markers.
Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2017
I've always wanted a good set of markers and these are awesome! I was unsure at first when I ordered them as I saw many reviews complaining about dried markers or getting several of the same color, but I didn't have either one of those problems. The markers didn't disappoint and they came in a very handy carrying case that can be propped up to have them stand up right. The colors are bright and they come with two point options - brush tip or chisel. I got the brush tipped markers as I love using them in the same manner you would a paint brush. All the markers are double sided with a brush tip on one side and a regular thin marker tip on the other side. The color flows easily and works best on a 110lbs 180gm Acid Free Artist Marker Pad.
